Learn What Is NOT Taught in the Universities.
Leaders must be home grown since leadership cannot be learned from courses offered in universities.
Consequently, without leadership development training, many organizations will never make teams work or lead the charge for change.
Focus on Application
The standard module promoted by the universities don’t allow for practical learning. For example, professors must issue grades, so they can only evaluate learning to the first two levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy. The two most common methods of evaluation are tests and papers.
We use tests (called reviews) as a tool to reinforcement memory, not to make sure that some get As, Bs, Cs and so on. And papers allow for talking about theory of the real world, it doesn’t allow for taking doing much in the real world. Unfortunately, there is little focus on either application and skill building.
With Legacee Training Programs, You can Build Skills
There is a number of different ways for you can go about building application skills. The model we use stresses that three are three major phases to the process. The that process needs to cycle back to include feedback and motivation before one is able to get to mastery.
Your Advantage in Training
Experienced, Knowledgeable Instructors
Our instructors have both depth of expertise combined with real world experience. We only use Ph D’s if they have real world experience. We rely on experts who are: experienced at using adult learning techniques, have excellent communication skills, and have a great deal of real world work experience. Legacee’s training programs have a number of tactics designed to improve outcomes. A number of these are listed below.
Your Advantage in Development
Besides the training techniques part of the program, we also use other development techniques. These include:.
1. Design of Consequences
For those completing a given training cycle, we recommend a short celebration at the end. Students like to know that management cares. But that is not the only thing that is important. Clearly, one needs to understand motivational consequences.
2. Use of Coaching
If you are looking to develop skills, one should consider adding coaching to the training component.
3. Training Grounding into Organizational Development
Finally, depending on your goals, you might view training as a program for competitive advantage or organizational development.
Our approach stresses the application of practical, relevant knowledge into real live situations.
