Focus on Application
The standard module promoted by the universities don’t allow for practical learning. For example, professors must issue grades, so they can only evaluate learning to the first two levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy. The two most common methods of evaluation are tests and papers.
We use tests (called reviews) as a tool to reinforcement memory, not to make sure that some get As, Bs, Cs and so on. And papers allow for talking about theory of the real world, it doesn’t allow for taking doing much in the real world. Unfortunately, there is little focus on either application and skill building.
